Jindřichův Hradec is another jewel among historical towns in South Bohemia.
Walk through the town takes visitors to the central piazza adorned with many Renaissance and Baroque houses and an 18th century monument to the plague, the lakeside Castle with its two courtyards and an interesting exhibition; then stroll down to the lake and do not miss the District Museum. The museum´s most famous attraction by far is a vast mechanized Nativity scene (with hundreds of moving figures), which took one man the first half of the 18th century to build. > 140 km south of Prague
