Český Krumlov
ČESKY KRUMLOV, is one of the most picturesque towns in Europe. It is located in the deep, meandering valley of the Vltava River in South Bohemia. In its narrow ancient streets visitors can take a step back in time. The uniquely preserved atmosphere of this Medieval town will not be forgotten by any visitor. Český Krumlov’s significance was recognised in 1992 when the town was inscribed on the UNESCO register of world heritage sites. Besides a number of historical monuments, the pride of Český Krumlov is an open-air theatre with a rotating auditorium in the gardens of Bellarie Summer Palace – the only one of its kind in Europe. Besides that, the castle with its watchtower and Baroque theatre is a must-see.
