Krkonoše
The KRKONOŠE Mountains in the northern part of the Czech Republic is a declared National park to protect the biosphere of the region. The Alpine character of the mountains is unique to the Czech lands and draws thousands of visitors all year round. Hiking, mountaineering, paragliding and other sports are popular activities from spring to autumn, while the winter seasonattracts skiers and snowboarders. Networks of well maintained hiking tracks lead to natural wonders such as the Mumlava waterfalls. Sněžka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, is easily accessible via a chair lift. A Modern bobsled track, which is now open even during summer season, is situated in Harrachov, one of the most popular ski centres of the region.
