Olomouc
OLOMOUC is undoubtedly one of the most interesting cities of the Czech Republic. The UNESCO listed Holy Trinity Baroque Column is testimony of the religiosity of the bishop’s city in the 18th century. Besides the UNESCO listed spire, Olomouc has a lot to offer – St. Wenceslas Cathedral of the original Roman castle, dating back to the 11th century and located in the oldest part of the city, which itself was founded in the 13th century. The country’s second town hall with a horologe was erected here in 1378, and is the city’s pride, along with the large historical university complex, and a number of interesting Baroque buildings and fountains.
