GOLF has a long tradition and a high standard in the Czech Republic. The first golf course here, and in fact in the entire Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, was established in 1904
in KARLOVY VARY (CARLSBAD), the famous Bohemian spa town. Shortly after that, on August 21,1905, Edward VII, the King of England, inaugurated the golf course in MARIÁNSKÉ LÁZNĚ (MARIENBAD).
After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, there was a real breakthrough and golf relived its former bloom. Most of the courses were renovated and modernised, and in some cases reconstructed to meet strict specific criteria. New golf courses are being created
constantly, many of them world-class quality.
There are now 71 golf courses in the Czech Republic - more than all the countries in the rest of Eastern Europe combined. CzechRepublic was declared ‘Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year’ at the 7th IAGTO Awards held during the International Golf Travel Market in Marbella, Spain TBS will profesionally take care of all these arrangements:
